New Season . . . New Site!
As we embark on our 66th season we are starting things off with a fresh new online look. Through our new website, you will be easily able to keep up with the latest happenings at Bell Road Barn as well as purchase tickets, make reservations and even comment on blog posts such as this one. Follow the menu to check out all of the different areas of our new site. Directors Call

Bell Road Barn Players, Kansas City’s Oldest Community Theatre is now accepting director applications for our 66th season! We are looking for passionate and creative individuals with clear and detailed visions for our upcoming productions. If you are interested please email your resume to backstage@bellroadbarn.org and include which shows you are interested in and why. The deadline for submissions is September 14th.
Our 2019-2020 Season includes:
Christmas More Awkward
Our fun and unique local playwright festival will consist of various short scenes and monologues, written and performed by local talent. We will need multiple directors and first-time directors are encouraged to apply.
Performances December 12 -15. Auditions and rehearsals will begin in November.
Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus
We are seeking an experienced director for this production. Past experience in minimalistic theatre and creative concepts is a plus.
Performances March 13-22. Auditions in January. Rehearsals begin February.
The Foreigner by Larry Shue
This position has already been filled. Interested individuals may be considered as a back-up.
Performances June 12-21.
The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare
We are seeking an experienced director for this production. Previous experience with Shakespeare or other classical theatre is a plus but not required.
Performances July 24 – Aug. 2. Rehearsals begin in June.
Individuals of all ages, genders, and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Interested parties should email their resume and pertinent info to backstage@bellroadbarn.org no later than September 14th to be considered.
