Bell Road Barn Players is hosting open auditions for their first show of 26-27 season.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
REHEARSALS will begin Wednesday, November 11th at Park University. Rehearsals will typically be on Monday – Thursday from 6:30pm/7pm – 9:30pm with occasional Saturday afternoon rehearsals. There will be a Thanksgiving Break (11/25-11/29).
TECH/DRESS WEEK will be Saturday, December 6th through Wednesday, December 10th. Conflicts with the rehearsal schedule must be kept to an absolute minimum during the rehearsal process. No conflicts will be accepted during dress/tech week.

Thursday @7:30pm, Friday @7:30pm, Saturday @7:30pm, and Sunday @2pm

WHAT TO PREPARE
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. A prepared monologue (Comedic or Dramatic) is encouraged for all auditioners.
Actors wanting to be considered for the role of George Bailey are asked to come with a prepared Dramatic Monolgue of no more than 3 mins.
Because this is being presented as a “radio play,” we are specifically looking for actors with vocal versatillity and the ability to create and switch quickly between different character voices/accents etc. Please prepare 3 different vocal stylings for your audition.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Jake Laurents (20s/30s): Portrays George Bailey and Young George. He is the emotional anchor of the play—an idealistic, deeply generous man who continually sacrifices his personal dreams of travel and college to support his community, only to reach a breaking point of despair on Christmas Eve.
Sally Applewhite (20s/30s): Portrays Mary Bailey and Young Mary. She is warm, bright, deeply supportive, and serves as George’s loving partner who anchors him with quiet strength.
Freddie Filmore (30s–50s): Portrays the Announcer, Joseph, Mr. Gower, Henry F. Potter, Uncle Billy, along with Ernie the cab driver, bridge keeper, and various small roles.
Harry “Jazzbo” Heywood (30s/40s): Portrays Harry Bailey, Clarence, Sam Wainwright, Bert the cop, and multiple other townspeople.
Lana Sherwood (30s/40s): Portrays Violet Bick, Rose Bailey, Matilda, Ruth Dakin Bailey, Mrs. Hatch, and the Bailey children.
Please know that this is only one possible casting breakdown. The play is very flexible and roles may be separated out for a much larger cast! We also may be casting additional Foley Artists/Musicians.
