Jonathan Arnold
(Mr. Bingley, Mary)
Jonathan is excited for many personal firsts with this production.
Pride & Prejudice is his first show with the Bell Road, first non-musical, and first dual
character roles. He has previously appeared at Theatre in the Park singing lead in the barbershop quartet in The Music Man, as Seitz in Newsies, and in the Ensemble in South Pacific.
He has also appeared as Stanford in Bright Star at OCTA and Sir Dinadan in Camelot
at The White Theatre. He would like to thank his family, including chosen family, for their
support, especially Shirley.
Laura K. Burt
(Charlotte Lucas, Properties)
Laura is an actor and stage manager from Kansas City, Missouri.
She is honored to be working with Bell Road Barn Players for the
first time. She has worked with several theatres in Kansas City including: Olathe Civic
Theatre Association, City Theatre of Independence, The Barn Players, Buffalo Room,
Fringe Festival, Tradewind Arts, Relevance Productions, KC Melting Pot, and Theatre
Lawrence. When she is not working a show, she is a licensed counselor in the Kansas
City area.

Richard J. Burt
(Mr. Darcy, Scenic Carpenter)
Richard is a Kansas City-based actor and technical theatre artist.
This is his Bell Road Barn debut. Recent stage credits include Murder on the Orient Express (Theatre Lawrence) and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (OCTA).
Richard has also worked locally with The Barn Players, KC Melting Pot, Stuffed Buffalo Productions, Tradewind Arts, Whim Productions, and the KC Rep. He served as technical director for The Buffalo Room from 2016 to 2020 and has been a scenic designer for many local independent and community theatre companies. Love to L & S & SF.
Robin Carroll-Dolci (Mr. Collins, Miss Bingley)
Robin is thrilled to be making his 3rd appearance with Bell Road Barn. First he played Antipholus and Antipholus in Comedy of Errors, then Marty and Murray in last year’s Hollywood Holidays, and now, finally, he gets to portray Caroline and Collins in Pride and Prejudice.
A/A in CoE, M/M in HH and C/C in P&P.
Robin hopes to eventually play a single character for a production on this stage. Truly this show has been a blast to work on and he hopes everyone enjoys it!
Meghann Deveroux (Mrs. Bennett, Choreography)
Meghann is pleased to be returning to Bell Road Barn after appearing in last season’s Men On Boats. Pride and Prejudice is a dream show for Meghann as it is an adaptation of her favorite book and she gets to portray one of its more ridiculous characters.
Recent credits include Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead and Peter and the Starcatcher (OCTA) and Spooky Sh*t Show (KC Fringe).
Thanks to her family for the love, her friends for being super, Toby for the snuggles, and the audience for supporting local theatre.
Hephzibah Dutt
(Director, Scenic Design)
Pride and Prejudice is Hephzibah’s directorial debut for Bell Road Barn! A writer and theatre scholar-artist, she has a PhD in Theatre from Bowling Green State University and has taught college theater, coached actors, and directed for university and community theatres since 2007.
She would like to thank her family for supporting her artistic and scholarly pursuits, and apologizes in advance if this production messes with any family memories of the BBC’s 1995 mini-series of Pride and Prejudice.
Jeremy Edwards
(Wickham, Servant)
Jeremy is excited to be making his debut on the Bell Road Barn stage. Jeremy is an actor, writer and director from Kansas City, MO.
Previous acting credits in KC include Cellular ‘Cenes (Summit Theatre Group), Arcadia (OCTA) and Fahrenheit 451 (The White Theatre at the J). A lifelong fan of Shakespeare, Jeremy helped co-create Shakeshafte Cinema, a youtube channel that sets Shakespearean scenes in modern settings.
Jeremy would like to thank his wife, Brittany, and son, Aiden, for their constant support and endless inspiration for all his creative endeavors.
D.K. Evenson
(Stage Manager)
D.K. returns to Bell Road having stage managed last season’s A Comedy of Errors. Favorite backstage endeavors include: stage management The Crucible (The Barn), Poor Relations (OCTA), Noises Off! (The Barn), The King and I (TTIP); lighting design Rabbit Hole (OCTA); set design Barefoot in the Park (Wyandotte Players); properties design The Dinner Party (OCTA). An advocate for the performing arts, D.K. is a past member of the Boards of Directors for Olathe Civic Theatre Association, Wyandotte Players, and Potluck Productions, where he focused on the business aspects of the arts. For mom.
Heather J. Ives
(Mr. Bennett, Miss de Bourgh, Servant, Properties)
Heather has returned to grace the stage for Bell Road Barn after an extended (one-show) break. Previously seen in Dead Man’s Cell Phone, and Men On Boats, they have been proud to be dabbling in the KC theatre scene since 2018. Other credits include Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead at OCTA and The Hollow and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with CTI. A massive thank you to this talented cast of friends (both old and new) and to everyone (especially Topeka folks!) in the audience who decided “Hey, let’s go see a show!”

Shannon King
(Lydia, Lady Catherine)
Shannon is elated to be back onstage with Bell Road Barn after appearing in Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Jean). Other favorite roles include How I Learned to Drive (Lil Bit), Fat Pig (Jeannie), Dancing at Lughnasa (Chris), and Lysistrata (Myrrhine). Shannon studied Theatre Performance at Rhodes College.
Special thanks to her family – Kurt, Connor, Jacqueline, and Zo – for collectively watching her 2 year old Remi during rehearsals.
Laura Pridgen
(Lizzie, Properties)
Laura is making her debut with Bell Road Barn!
Hailing from Louisiana, her performance career spans international, national, and southern-regional stages. Recent credits include Shakespeare in Love (Nurse), A Doll’s House (Christine), Much Ado About Nothing (Don John), and Macbeth (Lady Macbeth).
Locally, you might have seen her in Weston Community Theatre’s Dracula (RM Renfield), or behind the scenes directing Little Theatre of Weston’s Moon Over Buffalo. Laura presently hosts a small private studio and engages in all the arts she can grasp. All the gratitude and love in the world to Charles and Alex.
Jenny Schroeder
(Jane)
Jenny is so pleased to return to the stage and to the amazing group Bell Road Barn. She is an avid lover of Jane Austen and so happy to be a part of this production. Some of her previous roles include Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire with Prior Productions, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with City of Independence Theatre, and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in Glendale California.
She graduated from the American Musical and Dramatics Academy in Los Angeles.
She would like to thank her family and husband for always encouraging her creativity.
Christy Stone (Scenic Charge Artist)
This is Christy’s first time working with Bell Road Barn! She would like to thank them for the opportunity to grow and learn as an artist. She also wants to give a huge shoutout to her husband Kenneth England who has always supported her artistic ambitions. Love you, dear-heart.
